Goodyear India restarts its Haryana plant post NGT approval

The company has informed that it has restarted its plant situated in Ballabgarh, Haryana post receiving order dated November 14, 2017, from National Green Tribunal (NGT), through its filing on BSE.
National Green Tribunal Principal Bench, New Delhi had passed an order dated November 9, 2017, stating that all the industrial activity in NCR of Delhi, which releases emission would not be carried till the next date of hearing i.e. November 14, 2017. As the company’s plant is located in the NCR region, it had to shut down its plant on November 10, 2017.
NGT in its order dated November 14, 2017, directed that the industries whose emissions are within the prescribed parameters and which are non-operating and compliant with the orders can be permitted to operate.
As per the filing made on BSE, the company has informed that the emissions from the company’s plant are within the prescribed parameters and compliant with consent to operate issued to it.
The company manufactures automotive bias tyres viz. farm tyres and commercial truck tyres at its Ballabgarh plant.
The stock is trading at a price of Rs 816, up by 0.5% or Rs 3.50 on NSE at 9.46 am after opening at a price of Rs 835.
