Live Stock Market Updates: Nifty, Sensex continue to trade higher
Nifty index has been surging in the afternoon hours. The index has
touched its intraday high of 10,131 level. Nifty Pharma index is top
gainer among the sectoral indices on NSE. Sun Pharma is top gainer in
the index trading at Rs 502.9 per share, up by 4.03%.
Divi’s Lab, Glenmark, Lupin and Dr Reddy’s are also among top gainers trading higher by more than 1%. There are 833 advances, 790 declines and 336 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting mixed sentiments floating in the market.
At 2 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 32,283 up 125 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,121 up 28 points. A total of 92 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 13 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.29% at 16,084, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.33% at 16,672.
Some buying activity is seen in Banks, Auto and Healthcare while Capital Goods, Metal and FMCG are showing weakness on BSE.
Tata Power, Reliance, Dr Reddy’s, Sun Pharma and Bank of Baroda are among the gainers, whereas BPCL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, ITC, LT and Hindalco are losing sheen on NSE.
The INDIA VIX is down 2.14% at 11.5.
