DATA STORY: Not North Korea, Americans fear corruption in US govt the most

The threat of North Korea bombing the US is rising, so are the concerns of another World War. Global leaders are fretting over the consequences of the war of words between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un, be it the "Rocket Man" rhetoric or the "barking dog" banter. American citizens, however, seem unperturbed by the North Korean threat. They fear corruption in the US government the most.
Majority of the Americans are less afraid of North Korea using a nuclear weapon than the country's own corrupt government officials, according to a Chapman University Survey — Americans Fear Wave 4 (2017).
Out of 1,207 US adults polled in the survey, 74.5 percent said that they are "afraid" or "very afraid" of corrupt government officials compared to 47.5 percent who are scared that the regime in Pyongyang will nuke the country.
