Live Stock Market Updates - Nifty steady at 10,150 level, BPCL,HPCL gain by 2.5%




Nifty and Sensex continue to dip as the gains of OMCs and IT companies get dampened by decline in metal and FMCG companies. OMCs continue to gain with BPCL and HPCL gaining over 2.5%

At 11:56 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 32,868 down by 73 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,159 down by 26 points.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.14% at 16,517 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading lower by 0.14% at 17,515.

Some buying seen in Energy,  Reality and Capital Goods sectors, while basic materials, FMCG, Healthcare, Utilities, Consumer Durables sectors show weakness on the BSE.

The India Vix is down by 0.37% at 14.11.

Out of 1,977 stocks traded on the NSE, 615 advanced, 1,023 declined, and 339 remained unchanged today.

A total of 39 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 29 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE..

Tyre shares gain as rubber price falls in international markets. TVS Srichakra (+4.5%), MRF (+3%), CEAT (+4%), JK Tyre (+1%). 
Fortis Healthcare to acquire assets of RHT Health Trust, stock zooms 9%.
NCLAT rejects IOB's plea against Amtek Auto, as per media reports. Stock gains 2.5%.
MOIL stock spurts 3% as profit more than doubles in Q2. 
Oil Marketing companies gain as crude prices fall. HPCL (+2.%), BPCL, IOC (+2%).

Opening Bell - Markets open higher; Eicher Motors top Nifty gainer

At 9:15 AM, the BSE Sensex opened higher by 32 points at 31,694, while the Nifty50 opened higher by 28 points at 9,958 mark.   Eicher Motors is top Nifty gainer trading at Rs 33,271.65 per share, up by 1.25% and Tata Power is top Nifty loser trading at Rs 77.05 per share, down by 0.39%. There are 957 advances, 424 declines and 459 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting mixed sentiments floating in the market.   On the broader markets, BSE Mid-cap index is trading at 15,846 level, up by 0.15% while BSE Small-cap index is trading at 16,384 level, up by 0.28%.   The rupee opened at 63.88 per USD.         0 Markets off day's high in late trades as indices fail to hold on to intraday gains. The 10,000 psychological mark is proving to act as a strong resistance zone for the Nifty. Bank Nifty too has lost ground; crucial support is now seen around 23,600 zone for Bank Nifty. Trump’s protectionist policies leading to the trade war scenario between US and China has negatively impacted major Asian indices. BSE Sensex toppled over 1% losing 400 points in the afternoon trade and is holding at 32,607. Nifty50 was down 121 points at 9,992.
